Ram is a para commando captain who pulls a group of doctors, among them Nandini, out of a relief camp under attack. Soon after, word reaches him that his brother Sathyamoorthy, an IAS officer in Bangalore, is dead.

The file calls it suicide. Ram is told the brother had moved against a corrupt corporator, then been suspended and arrested for that man's murder. Going through the room himself, Ram works out the build and the hand of the person who was there.

Nandini helps him trace a suspect to a gym, and the trail runs on to a hideout and a phone. The names stored on it belong to people who never expected anyone to come looking.
