Gopi was a boy when his father Raghuveer was killed on a classified mission. His uncle Sathya faked both their deaths and brought him up as Arjun Kumar, who grows into a young man applying to R&AW and being ignored.

The application that finally works is the one naming his father. Arjun is taken into a covert wing tracking a terror outfit, is made Agent 116, and starts seeing Sameera, a psychologist he trusts with his real name.

A code he brings back is read as one date and means another. Senior officers are attacked at his own graduation ceremony, and by evening Arjun is the name on the warrant.
