Ram teaches photography and travels for his work, keeping mostly to himself. A detour through the town where he went to school pulls him back to classrooms he last saw in 1996.

He agrees to help gather his old batch together, and the list of names includes Jaanu, whom he sat near and never quite spoke to. She flies in from Singapore, and the reunion everyone planned turns into one long night for the two of them.

Between the songs, the photographs and the drive back, they begin to account for the years apart and for the small failure of nerve that decided them.
