Ajay1996

Ajay runs a modest dairy and poultry trade in Kishengarh and expects little from the world beyond it. Manorama comes back from abroad with money, confidence and none of his caution, and the two fall in love across an obvious gap in standing.

Her uncles, the landlords Brijraj and Ranbir Singh, will not allow the match. They lean on Manorama until she gives evidence against Ajay in court, and he goes to prison believing she chose to ruin him.

He comes out with one name to blame. What he has not yet understood is how little of it was her decision, or who stood behind her when she spoke.
