Arun plays the piano in a Goa restaurant and lets everyone believe he is blind, a pose that wins him sympathy, small favours and the attention of Sophie.

A private booking takes him to the home of a retired actor, Mohan. Arun arrives to find Mohan dead, and Mohan's wife Simran and her lover, a police inspector named Bobby, calmly clearing the room around him.

Because Bobby runs the station any complaint would go to, the only witness to the murder is also the one man who cannot afford to be recognised as one.
