Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana2017

Aarti Shukla and Satyendra Mishra are matched by their families, and both are glad of it. On the morning of the wedding Aarti learns she has passed the provincial civil service examination, and Sattu's mother has been clear that wives in her house do not work.

Aarti walks away from the ceremony. Sattu's family sells what it owns to settle the wedding expenses and the dowry it had already handed over.

Five years later both are posted in Lucknow, she a PCS officer and he a district magistrate, and a bribery case inside her office lands on his desk.
