Bakula Namdev Ghotale2007

Bhakaspur runs on debt. Ghotale, the sarpanch, has money out with every household in the village and keeps them all obliged to him, and nothing resembling schooling or development gets past him.

Namdeo, a simple-hearted man from the same village, comes home with Bakula, his new wife. Ghotale sets eyes on her once and decides he wants her for himself.

What follows is the sarpanch working his charm on the household, Namdeo trying to keep his wife out of reach of a man nobody in Bhakaspur refuses, and Bakula answering all of it with an ordinary decency neither man expects.
