Rama Chandra lives modestly with his friend and falls in love with Sathya, whose family measures a man by the name behind him. He has no name to offer, so he sets out to be adopted as heir by a wealthy household.

He talks his way onto the family estate and finds it locked in a long feud with a rival clan, where every courtesy carries a threat underneath.

Then Rama Chandra learns why he fits there so easily. He is the family's own heir, renamed at birth and sent away to keep him alive.
