Raghu Ramayya is past seventy-five and keeps the family house alone while his children build careers elsewhere. His grandson Sai learns what the doctors have told him and decides the old man should have his family around him.

Sai brings everyone home on the pretext of a wedding, his own, to Aarna. For a few days the house is full and nobody asks why.

Then the visit stretches, tempers shorten, and old arguments about land and money return to the table, and Raghu Ramayya's condition is no longer something Sai can keep to himself.
