Sachidanand Agnihotri is a schoolteacher who believes that saying in court what he saw is simply what a decent man does. His son Vishal has grown up on that belief and on very little else.

The case concerns Nagesh Rana, whose father Jaspal is a politician with a lawyer, a police officer and a great deal of money at his disposal. The pressure brought to bear on the Agnihotri household is patient and thorough.

When the testimony collapses and the family is left with nothing, Vishal stops waiting on the courts and starts working his way through the men who arranged it.
