Chaitu, the son of a businessman used to getting his way, falls for Anu, and the marriage is announced before anyone thinks to ask her mother.

Her mother is Shailaja Reddy, who runs her village and has not spoken to her daughter in five years. She wants Anu married to a doctor, so Chaitu turns up at the house as one, with a friend along to keep the story straight.
